Our Aim

Residential care, around the clock, in a calm rural setting.

We care for people who may have learning, mental health or physical disabilities and who do not require personal care. Our home is an informal, caring environment where daily life is shared according to each person's ability — and where dignity, privacy and independence come first.

A Family Home

A Georgian mansion with five acres to call home.

Pant-y-Cendy Hall is a small Georgian mansion and Coach house set in five acres of mature gardens and paddocks. The Coach House is where residents live: fully heated, light and airy, with three single bedrooms that people are warmly encouraged to make their own.

A large lounge with leather reclining seating, a quieter 'snug' for reading and games, and a generous table for craft work give everyone space to relax or gather. Every part of the home is shared, and a walkabout phone means calls can always be taken in private.

The Grounds

Wheelchair-accessible gardens, made for spending time outdoors.

01 — Gardens & Patios

Room to breathe

Two patio areas surrounded by aromatic potted plants for those with sensory needs, with extensive lawns for football, croquet and tennis, and a large trampoline.

02 — Growing

Grow your own

A poly-tunnel and raised beds where residents are encouraged to grow vegetables, plus a poultry compound to help feed the chickens and ducks and collect the eggs.

03 — Access

Open to everyone

The whole five acres is wheelchair accessible, with ramp access to all areas of the home, so the outdoors is genuinely there for all to enjoy.

Animals & Equine Therapy

Time with animals, at everyone's own pace.

A variety of animals are kept for therapeutic access, and residents can bring or acquire their own pets after discussion. Our stable yard has room for six horses, with a well-fenced ménage for activities in a safe environment.

Since 2007 we have offered grooming, feeding and carriage driving — including a wheelchair-accessible carriage, so everyone who wishes to take part can.

Daily Life & Leisure

A full and varied life, indoors and out.

Indoors there are televisions, DVD and CD players, computers and the Wii, plus board games, drawing and craft equipment, and sewing machines. Residents have the use of a dedicated vehicle for trips, leisure interests, shopping and appointments.

Everyone is encouraged and supported to take part in a varied programme of social events, and community participation is always welcomed.
